Mir v. Lesnar postfight…Nog/Sylvia prefight

We’ve got a winner on our trivia question. It was sort of a trick question since neither of them were in the WWE. Lesnar’s first pro wrestling title was the Ohio Valley Wrestling Tag Team Championship with Shelton Benjamin in a team called “The Minnesota Stretching Crew” as an homage to the legendary “Minnesota Wrecking Crew”, Gene and Ole Anderson.. Lesnar’s last title was the IWGP Heavyweight Title in Japan. Lesnar gives a gracious postfight interview–calling Mir the “better fighter” and saying “he got me tonight”. This seems to win the crowd over. All props to Mir for pulling off the victory tonight but the UFC has got to do better to replace Randy Couture then a top three heavyweight division of Nog/Sylvia/Mir. And speaking of which, the interim heavyweight title matchup is next after a promo for the “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare”. I’ve done a lot of research in advance of launching our forthcoming new MMA site, The Savage Science, and one of the things I’ve learned is that the MMA demographic and the video game demographic is almost identical. The MMA demo is almost entirely 18-35 year old men. Over 50% of video game players are also 18-35 year old men. Nog enters the arena to “Gimme Shelter” by the Stones. Assuming that Sylvia uses his typical choice of “Jesus Walks” by Kanye West he should be deducted a point before the fight begins. Rogan trying to assure the fans that despite only having one UFC fight that Nog “deserves” this fight…uh…yeah…a 30-4-1 record with losses to Fedor twice, Josh Barnett and Dan Henderson ain’t a bad resume now is it.

Here comes “The Maine-iac” hisself…judging from his theme music Sylvia is returning to his redneck roots. It sounds like Hank Williams Jr. though it might be someone else. Some cocksucker must be downloading pirated MP3′s here since my video stream has gotten sketchy all of the sudden….I’m going to see if I an locate the cretin and rectify the situation while Bruce Buffer intros the fight…back for round #1
